Active listening (10 min)

Listen once for the general idea, then again for details. Never translate word by word.

Shadowing (5 min)

Repeat right after the speaker, copying rhythm and intonation — not just the words.

Retell it (3 min)

Say what you heard out loud in three sentences. If you can retell it, you understood it.

Sound traps (2 min)

Train linking, weak forms and similar sounds: ship/sheep, live/leave, than/then.

Where to listen

Use short, level-appropriate audio: my YouTube lessons, English news summaries, and podcast clips under five minutes. Same clip, three days in a row — repetition beats variety at the start.
